Alexis Webber-McCollaum Workshops - The Dance Collective

My name is Alexis Webber-McCollaum I am honored to be able to announce that I will be teaching four workshops at The Dance Collective studio.

The first workshop will be for children 3-8 years old and will be $5 per child. The goal of this workshop is to introduce students to a different flow and rhythm from that which they are taught in classical forms of dance. It will be light hearted and incorporate fun activities to encourage more grounded movement.

The second and third workshops will be for students 9 years and up and will be $10. These workshops will focus mainly on choreography and will be fast paced to mimic what it would be like to take a commercial dance class in NYC or LA. I would suggest bringing a clean pair of sneakers and some comfortable clothes for these classes (preferably no leotards). There will be a 15-20 minute Q&A after.

The fourth workshop will also be for students 9 and up (also $10) and focus on choreography. Depending on the class size, I will split the students up into groups and drill them in formation work. This is an important skill for the commercial dance world and requires patience, attention to detail, and teamwork. There will be a 15-20 minute Q&A after.

If you are interested in seeing my dance style before signing up or coming to class, please refer to my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/PIX101Entertainment ). If you go to my playlists you can also see videos of workshops and performances that I have participated in while in college. Sorry for the long email! Here is a summary
