Jessica Trout-Haney has taught tap at The Dance Collective since 2015. She received her B.A. and B.S. at the University of New Hampshire where she studied dance, music, and biology. As a member of the UNH Dance Company under the direction of Gay Nardone, she specialized in tap, jazz, and aerial dance, such as trapeze and aerial silks. She has performed in shows across the seacoast including with the Iron Heart Circus, the Portsmouth Percussive Dance Festival, Music Hall Follies: A vaudeville in 9 Acts, Clara’s Dream: A Jazz Nutcracker and Ring in the Rhythm, directed by Drika Overton, and performed alongside tap legends such as Brenda Bufalino, Dean Diggins, and Josh Hilberman. Jessica has been a member of the Dartmouth Dance Ensemble since 2016, has run the Dartmouth tap ensemble since 2019, and currently performs and choreographs with Bodel Dance Arts. Jessica also received her M.S. in Biology at Villanova University, her Ph.D. in Biology at Dartmouth College, and is currently a Research Assistant Professor in Biological Sciences at Dartmouth.
