Attire

Dress Code

Appropriate dance attire allows the instructors to see complete body movements and to assess technique and to correct accordingly. Having each age group of students distinguished by color can quickly remind instructors what age they are working with to provide appropriate instruction, while allowing us to keep students in class based on their ability, not their age. Similar attire for all students is less distracting for instructors and students. Loose hair is distracting and can limit dancers’ visibility. Jewelry can injure a dancer if they are wearing it or if it was to fall off and be stepped on. Staying hydrated is important during any physical activity including dance.

To help with consistency in class, all families should plan for making the switch to a Revolution Leotard as of Fall 2013.  You can obtain these at TDC.
