Skye Mattox is originally from Danville, NH and grew up dancing at her mother’s (Dee Keri) studio, Keri Productions in Salem NH. From there, she studied intensively for two years at Jeannette Neill’s studio in Boston.
After high school, she began her career by moving to New York City at age 17. She was seen on Broadway in West Side Story and On The Town, where she understudied the lead role of Ivy Smith. Her next show, the upcoming Broadway revival of Carousel, will begin previews at the Imperial Theater in NYC in February.
Other NYC credits include American Dance Machine, and numerous shows for New York City Center’s Encores! series, such as Little Me and The Golden Apple. She can also be seen in the second season of NBC’s hit TV series SMASH, as a recurring cast member. Skye most recently finished up a run as Louise Bigelow in Arena Stage’s production of Carousel in Washington DC.
In addition to performing, Skye is also passionate about teaching. She has taught at two of New York City’s premier dance studios, Steps On Broadway and Broadway Dance Center, and is on faculty for Broadway Dreams Foundation. When she is not performing, she enjoys teaching for various recreational and competitive studios across the country.
